When it comes to keeping your Toyota clean, you’re probably familiar with the traditional methods of washing. Take a look at these clever hacks to take your car’s cleanliness to the next level.

  1. DIY Upholstery Cleaner

If your Toyota has cloth upholstery, you can make a powerful cleaner that will remove even the toughest stains. Mix three tablespoons of grated soap with two tablespoons of Borax. Then add 10 drops of your favorite essential oil, such as lavender, for a fresh scent, and two cups of boiling water. This will create a foamy mixture that you can apply with a stiff brush to the seats, floor mats, and other upholstered areas.

  1. Compressed Air

When you’re dealing with dust in tight crevices, use a can of compressed air to remove every particle. Yes, the same can of air that you use to clean your keyboard and other electronics works just as well to get rid of dust in your vehicle. Use the narrow straw in the air vents and other small passages.

  1. Cupholder Liners

Cleaning the gunk that accumulates in your cupholders is never fun, so get rid of the need to do so by lining them. Use silicone muffin tin liners in each cupholder to protect the plastic from condensation and spills. When they get dirty, simply toss them in the dishwasher for a quick wash.

By taking care of your Toyota with these unique ways to keep it clean, you can protect your investment and increase the value of your vehicle. It’s well worth the time to clean your Toyota!
