Whether you’re looking for a breath of fresh air or an exciting summertime experience, you’ll find plenty to do in the Hatfield, Pennsylvania, area. Below are three of our favorite ways you can make the most of a beautiful summer afternoon in the area.

Briar Bush

If you want your family to foster an appreciation for the outdoors or just get some fresh air, head to nearby Briar Bush Nature Center. There is plenty to see and explore here, whether you’re looking for a pleasant hike or an in-depth view of the area’s natural world. Give yourself enough time to explore the 12.5 acres of forest Briar Bush offers.

Morgan Log House

Those with a fascination for history may find a thoughtful hour or two exploring the Morgan Log House. This historical attraction features a restored colonial Pennsylvanian home that offers insight into some of the early settlers of the area. Take a guided tour of the Morgan Log House or take a self-guided tour by reading the signage throughout the home.

Hatfield Aquatic Center

Let your kids loose at the Hatfield Aquatic Center to let them burn off excess energy on a hot day. The younger kids will love the splash area with slides and jungle gym-style platforms. You’ll also find longer slides, a lazy river, and a full swimming pool to relax in. You can purchase a daily pass to this pool for $15.

These three destinations are just the tip of the iceberg of summertime destinations near Hatfield. Your next free weekend, head out to these or any of the other great outdoor oases in the Hatfield area.
