Toyota is going electric with their plan to unveil two EV models for 2022, and more on the way. Toyota is an industry leader in the hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicle market, and it’s now jumping into the EV market. Take a look at the Toyota bZ4X that will arrive in 2022.

The bZ4x Power and Style

The all-new bZ4x is an all-electric SUV. It’s about the size of the RAV4 with a long wheelbase and short overhangs. Toyota will build it on the e-TNGA platform and has teamed up with Subaru to create and manufacture the lineup. The bZ4x will come standard with all-wheel drive and have a sporty exterior line without a front grille to make it easily identifiable as an electric vehicle. The expected range for the bZ4x is up to 250 to 300 miles.

This new electric vehicle has a rotary gear selector instead of a traditional shifter, and it sits in the middle of the large console.

The bZ4x Interior

Inside, it has an open concept cabin with a modern design. A large touch screen sits in the middle of the dash, and it has a large center console with a spacious storage area. The instrument panel sits lower than the typical display, and this, combined with the unique shape of the steering wheel, allows the driver to see the display without moving their hands.

The bZ4x is the first of the below zero lineup to make an appearance. There is more to come with 70 electrified vehicles expected by 2025.
