Spooktacular Parade and Costume Contest
About 10 miles west of Hatfield, Doylestown hosts its annual Spooktacular Parade and Costume Contest at the end of October. The family-friendly event is held in the heart of town, and the parade begins at Bucks County Courthouse and runs along East State Street. Kids can trick or treat at shops throughout town, and both kids and their pets can win prizes for the funniest, best, most creative, and spookiest costumes.
Annual FARE Festival
In nearby Warminster, about 14 miles southeast of Hatfield, the FARE Festival is a craft product enthusiast’s dream. Held every October at The FUGE, the festival features handpicked beers from local breweries, and craft distillers are on hand to discuss their beverages. In addition to beer, you can also enjoy whiskey, wine, spirits, and food from some of the best restaurants around.
Annual Ukrainian Christmas Bazaar
The Annual Ukrainian Christmas Bazaar takes places in late fall at Boris Zacharczuk Grand Ballroom in Jenkintown, about 20 miles southeast of Hatfield. Here, you can sample Ukrainian cuisine, sip on Ukrainian beer and vodka, and enjoy live music. Artisans will have arts and crafts on display, so you can do a little early Christmas shopping for Ukrainian Easter eggs and embroidered clothing, wood crafts, and more.
