Changes for the 2017 Model
The 4Runner last underwent a major design facelift with the 2014 model. However, there have been made more recent changes since the last major overhaul. The 2017 model added two new trim options and new available colors. The previous Trail and Trail Premium trims became the TRD Off-Road and the TRD Off-Road Premium. Included in these new trim levels are TRD-specific floor mats, red TRD badging on the front headrests (in the Premium model), and a stylish new center console inlay. The new colors are only available in the TRD Pro model, which is the trim level and model that is perfect for off-roading and adventuring. These new colors are Cement, Barcelona Red, and Super White.
Changes for the 2018 Model
Although the changes in the 2018 model are not as significant as years past, the 2018 4Runner remains the premier off-roading vehicle and is known for its incredible durability, versatility, and toughness. Among the new features of the 2018 model are new paint options, named Cavalry Blue and Midnight Black Metallic. These stylish new colors will have you off-roading in style in your new 4Runner. In addition, the previously mentioned Super White color that was only available in he TRD Pro trim level is now available across every 2018 4Runner. Two new equipment packages are also available in 2018 but otherwise the new 4Runner is the same great rugged off-roading SUV that you have come to love.
