Are you looking for a new book to read or the next book in your favorite series? Here are several great bookstores in the Hatfield-Lansdale area to check out.

The Black Reserve Bookstore

The Black Reserve Bookstore is an independent bookstore at 317 W. Main St. #3 in Lansdale. It’s open six days a week, closed on Monday, for your reading pleasure. The focus of the store is black culture. You’ll find titles available in varying genres from history to fiction as well as a selection of comic books to enjoy. While you’re visiting this quaint but comfortable space, you can also purchase clothing, incense, soap, jewelry, and other goods.

The Archive Books and Paper

Another unique independent bookstore in Lansdale is The Archive Books and Paper at 725 W. 2nd St. The 15,000-square-foot space is open Tuesday through Sunday for your enjoyment. This location does not focus on one genre. Instead, they have a vast collection of books and goods that cover a variety of types, including animals, military history, religion, and scouting. You can even find rare copies of classic books. Along with the books, there are several old magazines and drawings. If you have unique items you want to rehome, the store will take them and sell them on eBay for you.

As you visit these stores, look around and see what stands out. Do they focus on one genre? How comfortable is the space? Keep this information in mind to make future recommendations to friends and family.
