No doubt, we’re moving into an era where more car buyers are opting for eco-friendly hybrid vehicles. Over the last years, hybrid vehicles have just gotten better and better. Toyota is proud that its models stay ahead of the curve in safety, efficiency, and style. Now, Peruzzi Toyota in Hatfield, PA has another reason to brag: new analysis reveals that Toyota hybrid owners keep their cars longer than owners of other models. That shows both good financial sense, plus is a testament to the quality of these particular cars.

The study, conducted by iSeeCars.com analyzed 900,000 used cars from the years 2012/2013 and sold in 2020. Those particular years were selected because that’s when hybrid powertrains were becoming more widely available. Toyota’s Highlander, Avalon, and Camry hybrids reached the top three spots on the survey based on original-owner retention. Turns out that 38% of Highlander Hybrids, 36.5% of Avalon Hybrids, and 34.6% of Camry Hybrids made it onto the rolls of original-owner retention. In fact, the retention numbers for all three models were over two times the average of other hybrid vehicles. (PS – The Toyota Prius also made it onto the Top 10 List).

So why that exceptional loyalty? For one, hybrids generally lower the cost of ownership simply through fuel savings. And of course, Toyota engine designs continue to get even more efficient every year.

The other reason that folks hang on to their Toyota hybrid vehicles longer than other models? It’s due to the automaker’s well-known reputation for quality and reliability, which isn’t just limited to hybrid models.

So in the push to make our everyday lives a little greener, consider any of Toyota’s exceptional hybrid models, from Highlander to Avalon, Camry, and more. In every case, you’ll be guaranteed not just fuel-consciousness, but style, comfort, and safety to boot. Explore more at Peruzzi Toyota in Hatfield, PA!
