When Toyota released the 2017 Sienna last year, the most significant upgrades from the previous model came down to its engine and fuel efficiency. However, with the recently unveiled 2018 model, Toyota has decided to hone in on two key aspects of any minivan – safety and entertainment technology. A fuel-efficient vehicle is always nice, but when it comes to a minivan, keeping your family safe and entertained is a top priority.
Safety features should come before all else in a family-centric vehicle like the Toyota Sienna, and the 2018 model comes standard with the latest in safety technology. New to the 2018 Sienna are automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, and a lane-departure warning system. When unexpected obstacles come your way on the road, the 2018 Sienna will keep you as safe as it possibly can.
Any parent can tell you that if the kids aren’t occupied, every car trip becomes much longer than it needs to be. This is why Toyota included the Entune 3.0 multimedia interface and App Suite Connect with the 2018 Sienna. On the LE, SE, and XLE trim levels, Toyota included Entune 3.0 Audio Plus, which allows five devices to be connected at once through the vehicle’s LTE network. Most exciting of all, the Premium package features a rear-seat entertainment system which can stream video from Android devices.
Although Toyota hasn’t revealed an MSRP or sale date for the 2018 Sienna, we can expect it to hit Toyota showrooms and lots towards the end of this year.
