In April of 2021, Toyota introduced the United States to a brand-new electric vehicle concept that may see the light of day soon. The bZ4X BEV is an all-electric SUV that may push Toyota several steps ahead in the global race for vehicle electrification. Here are some of the largest points of what we know about the bZ4X so far.
The bZ4X
The bZ4X was created from a partnership between Toyota and Subaru. This SUV model features Subaru’s reliable all-wheel-drive system and Toyota’s dedication to style and features. The model will be offered first in Japan and China. In the middle of 2022, the bZ4X will be available for worldwide sales.
This SUV falls neatly into Toyota’s current SUV style. The bZ4X’s body features aggressive cuts and grooves that give it a sporty and futuristic personality. The front fascia has eliminated the upper grille, replacing it with a smooth nose flanked by thin headlamps.
The New Toyota Name
The bZ4X is the first vehicle that bears the Toyota bZ brand name. The bZ models will be a part of the company’s push toward carbon neutrality by the year 2050. Toyota expects to have around 70 electrified vehicles by 2025, 15 of which being all-electric vehicles. Seven of those will be bZ models. bZ stands for “Beyond Zero.”
Information about the bZ4X’s release to the United States market has not been released as of the time of this writing.
