Valentine’s Day is one of the most romantic days of the year. There are tons of places that make excellent date destinations for couples in Philly, from high-end restaurants to exquisite outdoor venues. We have listed our top two romantic spots to help you start planning your Valentine’s Day outing.

Morris Arboretum

Morris Arboretum is a stunning expanse of trees and cultivated flora covering over 90 acres in historic Northwestern Philly. Enjoy strolling through the Victorian-era inspired gardens with fascinating topiaries or check out the sculpture gardens. There is a formal rose garden on-site that is the perfect place to spend a romantic afternoon, and, if weather permits, you are welcome to bring a picnic to spread out and enjoy on the lush lawn. The gardens are located at 100 E. Northwestern Ave.

R2L Restaurant and Lounge

Sitting 500 feet above Philly is the R2L Restaurant and Lounge, a fine dining and cocktail lounge that specializes in incredible gourmet dishes and handcrafted cocktails. This glamorous Valentine’s Day destination offers a full dinner at $85 per person, with an array of starters, main courses, and desserts to select from. Offerings from this event menu include filet of beef, lobster, and vegan roasted cauliflower. Waiters are happy to make wine pairing recommendations with every course. R2L Restaurant and Lounge is located on the 37th floor of Two Liberty Place at 50 S. 16th St.

There are plenty of romantic destinations in Philly for you and your loved one to spend on a memorable holiday. This is just a small sample of the range of activities and locales to choose from!
