Both the Corolla and the Civic have very similar interior dimensions. It is very clear in the interior however that Toyota has succeeded in making some substantial improvements in term of passenger comfort accommodations with additional legroom for rear seat passengers. The Corolla also now offers a 60/40 split folding rear seat. This feature is unavailable in the lower trim level versions of the Honda Civic. Technological features are another area where Toyota has really taken the opportunity to shine with the Corolla. Both the Corolla and the Civic offer standard audio systems that are very similar to each other. However, that is where the similarities end. The 2014 Corolla has optional Display Audio with Navigation and Toyota's Entune App Suite. Even the higher trim levels of the Civic simply are unable to compete with the technology on display in the Corolla. Both of these vehicles are certainly impressive and their newest models will afford them continued reign in their class. School Zone Driving Safety Reminders from Toyota Dealer
It's that time of year again when children are returning to school. Ensuring their safety in navigating to and from school must be a top priority for all driving. Toyota dealer near Philadelphia shares some pointer to make sure that both motorists and pedestrians can navigate through school zones in the safest way possible. Expect the unexpected. When you are in a school zone, be aware that children may come from anywhere. They don't always follow the rules and you don't want a child not adhering to the school rules to become a casualty of an unaware driver. Watch Your Stopping. Make sure that you always come to a complete stop at any crosswalk or sign. Even if you see nothing in the immediate distance, never slowly roll through it. Make sure that your wheels are completely stopped and that you are aware of any activity that is surrounding you. Strictly Adhere to the Speed Limit. This should be common sense to all drivers, particularly in a school zone. The faster you are going, the more difficult it is to stop quickly. If a child darts out into the road, it is critical that you have adequate time to avoid striking them. Do Not Drive Distracted. Particularly in a school zone, make sure that you are not dividing your attention between driving and tasks such as changing radio stations or using your cell phone. All of these tasks serve to distract the driver and reduce awareness and reaction time. Be Aware of School Buses. Never pass a school bus on the right side and, as most state laws require, if a school bus is stopped on the opposite side of the road, you should also stop. Not obeying this guideline can not only have legal ramifications but can have catastrophic results. Understanding and awareness of these basic safety rules and guidelines can help to ensure that both children and drivers safely co-exist as school time rolls around again.
Choosing Tires Made Easy by Pennsylvania Toyota Dealership
Not many people truly understand the importance of choosing a quality tire. Expense is a consideration but should not be the only thought that is given when deciding which tire is best for your vehicle. Pennsylvania Toyota Dealership wants you to understand that tires are the only thing that separates you and your passengers from the unforgiving road surface. Without taking into consideration a number of factors, you may be taking a risk with a facet of your vehicle that is most important in maintaining the safety of those in the car. To make an accurate decision in choosing tires, there are two important guidelines you should follow. The first is to know your driving habits, needs and expected uses. The second guideline is to find a trustworthy store and salesperson that is knowledgeable and can understand these needs. Once you have established both of these guidelines, there are a number of inquiries to make of your salesperson. Based on the information they provide, you can then determine which tire will be able to best suit your needs. Tread life: Be sure to inquire about the expected tread life of the tires. Compare these answers to your expected driving needs to assess how long you can expect your chosen tires to last. Weather: Keep weather in your area in mind when making your selection. If you live in an area that gets snow or has high rainfall expectations, it may be an optimal choice to focus on all-season tires. Ride Quality: Envision your expectations for how you would like your tires to handle the road. Certain series of tires can be harsh over bumps or potholes compared to a higher series. In general, lower profile tires will improve handling but will expose the wheel to more damage. This particular area is one in which your salesperson will prove to be extremely helpful. Road Noise: Quite simply, some treads and tires are more noisy than others. Knowing your driving habits and the effect road noise has on your personally will help your salesperson to match you with tires that will suit your needs Remember that tire choice should never be taken lightly. Educate yourself and consider all of the above options to ride away with tires that are able to meet your needs and safety requirements.
Hatfield Toyota Explains the Effects of Car Insurance Claims
Insurance policies vary from company to company and can be confusing to the average customer. Hatfield Toyota wants to make sure that you consider all circumstances and effects before filing a claim with your insurance company. Procedures and protocol vary from company to company but in general, the effects of claims on rates are consistent across the board. It can almost be guaranteed that regardless of your carrier, if an accident was caused by your negligence or if you've filed several claims over a short period you can expect an increase in your rates. It goes without saying that if you are involved in an accident with another party, there is simply no way to avoid the filing of a claim. This is a necessity for both their protection as well as your own. However, if you are in a collision that involves only your vehicle, such as hitting a deer, and you don't sustain any injuries or damage any property, you may want to consider the situation before immediately filing a claim. Particular thought should be given to this especially if you have had a recent accident or your driving record has multiple violations. You should also keep your deductible in mind as you ponder this decision. Clearly, if you have a deductible that is higher than the cost to repair your vehicle, it is certainly not worth the filing of a claim. These factors, combined with your ability to pay for the repairs required to your vehicle out of pocket should highlight whether filing a claim is something that is beneficial. The best way to avoid an increase in rates due to a claim is to make sure your driving record is clean and if an claim is necessary, inquire if your company offers a first time accident pass or forgiveness. This clause can protect you from a premium increase following a first time claim as a result of an accident.

Your Toyota Dealer Wants You to Have a Successful Road trip This Summer
Many of us wait all year for the much anticipated family vacation. It is a time for making memories, eating great food, and seeing the sights. What can be stressful is getting there, especially when you have children. Your Toyota dealer near Philadelphia wants you to have a successful road trip this summer, and is offering tips on how to make it as smooth as possible. Make a Plan For a long trip, it is important that you plan stops along the way. It is important for using the bathroom, refueling, stretching your legs, and getting some nutrition. Check the map beforehand and plan where the stops will be. It helps if you can have gas and food breaks be in the same stop to save on time. If you can, find a little town on the way that has interesting attractions to keep the kids happy. Even a park or playground will let them stretch their legs and run around, making them tired and sleepy until the next stop. Pack Entertainment Don't just get into the car and begin to fiddle with the radio until you find something everyone likes. Plan ahead with CDs that the whole family can sing along to. If you have a DVD system, get the movies ready and make sure you have ones that will cover the length of the trip. If that's not your thing, provide the kids with some activity books or other family games. Family Games Songs are fun, but it is good to have a game that keeps the whole family engaged. “I Spy” is a great way to get kids looking out the window for license plates, scenery, wildlife and road signs. Another fun game is a family trivia game where you ask kids questions about different family members. It keeps them in touch with the history of your clan as well.

Your Local Pennsylvania Toyota Dealership Has Summer Driving Tips
Summer is an exciting time for kids and adults. Unfortunately, the increase in activity means more hazards on the road, and new problems that can go wrong with your vehicle. Not to worry though! Your local Pennsylvania Toyota dealership has summer driving tips to keep you and others safe. Check Your Tires | Hatfield Toyota Services As the temperatures heat up, the air in your tires can expand. This means if your tires have some wear on them, they are especially susceptible to a blowout. You should check the pressure once a month, including the spare. Read your owner's manual for the correct amount that should be in the tire, and always check when they are cold. Remember to schedule an appointment to keep your vehicles at their best! Watch for Kids More teenage, inexperienced drivers are on the road in the summer because school is out. Their lack of practice can mean danger for seasoned drivers. They may have judgement that has not developed yet and raises the risk of an accident. Teenagers have the highest accident rate than other age groups, so keep you eyes open for them during the summer. Beat the Heat The temperatures can get pretty high, so make sure you stay hydrated, on a long drive. Be prepared for the seats to be warm, especially when wearing shorts. Invest in a sun visor to keep the interior temperature from going sky high. When using the air conditioner a lot, there is a chance your engine can overheat. If this happens, pull off the road immediately so it can cool down and you can call for help.
