Whether you want to test your endurance on an advanced trail or just go for a walk in the woods, there are plenty of great hiking spots in and around the Hatfield, Pennsylvania, area. Here are some of the best trails and hiking areas for your next adventure.

1. The Wissahickon Valley Trail

The Wissahickon Valley trail area has over 7 miles of trails to explore. Some of the many sights to see along the way include waterfalls, a covered bridge, and plenty of wildlife. One of the popular trails starts on Forbidden Drive and follows a 2-mile trail along the Wissahickon Creek right down to the Valley Green Inn. The east side trail is paved and great for families, or you can turn your hike into a bike ride. All the trails are well marked.

2. Ringing Rocks Park

Ringing Rocks Park is definitely worth the trip. There is a short hike that leads to a field of boulders that make a ringing sound when hit with a hammer. This hike also has a few waterfalls along the way, and there are even some trails that lead around the back of the waterfall and up and down the empty riverbed.

3. Goat Hill Overlook

Head to Lambertville, New Jersey, just 45 minutes away for a great hike up Goat Hill Overlook. You’ll get a beautiful view of the Delaware River, and this is also a good hike for small kids since it is only about a half mile to the overlook from the parking lot.
