2018 Toyota Tundra

The Toyota Tundra is Toyota’s flagship pickup truck that first appeared on the market in the 2000 model year. The 2018 model marks the 18th year of Tundra pickup trucks and early reviews are saying it could be the best model year yet! The 2018 Toyota Tundra improves on many aspects of the 2017 model. In addition, your favorite features from the 2017 model year are making a return in this new edition.

The trim levels of the 2018 Tundra include the SR, SR5, TRD Sport, Limited, Platinum, and 1794 Edition. The TRD Pro trim level will be going on hiatus for 2018 but it will be replaced by the all new Tundra TRD Sport, available in October. Every trim level will come with a new grill design upgraded from last year’s model and updated headlights. For the interior, the gauges are being redesigned with the addition of a larger 4.2-inch information display screen. The new Tundra TRD Sport edition will feature sport-turned Bilsten shock absorbers and thicker anti-sway bars.

While these cosmetic changes are definitely exciting, the biggest change from the 2017 to the 2018 Tundra is the addition of Toyota Safety Sense P standard. This means that every trim level of the 2018 Tundra, from the SR to the 1794 Edition will have a precollision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert, automatic high-beams, and adaptive cruise control. Toyota vowed to make all of its vehicles safer by 2018 and the addition of these standard safety features does just that.
