History buffs and Christmas lovers alike can enjoy a unique experience in Montgomery County. On November 28th, A Soldier’s Christmas will showcase life during the most famous battles in history and how soldiers handled life during the holidays. The event takes place in Montgomery County PA’s Graeme Park in Horsham from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Admission to the event is free.

The special Christmas event will feature live musical entertainment, crafts for sale, and an assortment of refreshments. Santa Claus will be the very special guest from 12:00pm to 3:00pm and all kids in attendance will receive a very special treat.

During the event, a collection will be taken for active military members servicing overseas. A collection of items for men and women in the military will take place at the event and items can also be dropped up at the park before the event during the regular Friday through Sunday hours, except Thanksgiving.

Suitable items for collection include:

White socks – men and women

Flip flops – men and women

Toiletries – soap, deodorant, shampoo, powder, hand sanitizer, lip moisturizer, baby wipes, saline eye drops, tissue packets, and individually wrapped toilet paper. (All products must be unscented.)

Holiday items – decorations

Groceries – individually wrapped candies (no chocolate), non-dairy creamer, Crystal Light drink mix, 12 oz. bags of coffee, sweetener, chips, cookies, and nutrition bars. (Peanut-free items, please.)

The Friends of Graeme Park will collect the items to mail to our military members in time for the Christmas holiday. Bring the kids out to see Santa and enjoy a slice of history. Get into the spirit of giving during the holiday season and support our men and women in the military.
