While its truck lineup is super-popular, Toyota isn’t resting on its laurels. The company is in the process of making some big redesign changes; the Tundra has gotten its makeover for 2022 and the Tacoma is next up. Even though Tacoma outsells other similar mid-size trucks from competitors Ford and Chevrolet, there are some tweaks in store that will take it to the next level. While it won’t make its debut until sometime in 2022, Peruzzi Toyota in Hatfield, PA has a few sneak peeks at what’s coming.

The Toyota Tacoma will be built on the new TNGA-F frame, which will make for a more comfortable ride. Additionally, the old rear-leaf suspension is being swapped out for coil springs, which will make handling – especially during any kind of off-roading – even easier. By comparison, Ford and Chevy are still using less-cushy leaf-spring suspension.

On the outside, the Tacoma will sport sleeker touches on the grille, headlights and taillights. On the inside, this new version upgrades the technology. For example, expect a larger touchscreen as well as standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

OK, so now Peruzzi Toyota takes you under the hood of the upcoming Toyota Tacoma. There’s a hot rumor that it will utilize a turbo-charged four-cylinder engine that produces a robust 275 horsepower. A hybrid version is also more than likely, and the company states that a fully electric version will also roll out by 2025.

Currently, this updated version of the Toyota Tacoma is being tested as a prototype, but it will be out before too long. And the place you can claim this exceptional mid-size truck – or any of the fantastic Toyota lineup, for that matter — is at Peruzzi Toyota in Hatfield! Come on in to have a closer look.
