Toyota Models Named 2023 “Best Cars For Families”

Toyota wins again! U.S. News & World Report, a global leader in consumer advice, has just released their rankings for the 2023 “Best Cars for Families,” and two Toyota models made the top of the list. Peruzzi Toyota in Hatfield, PA is proud to share the findings. There were 92 vehicles reviewed, and nine categories considered. Among them, the 2023 Toyota Camry Hybrid nabbed its first win as “Best Hybrid Car for Families.” For an astonishing tenth time, the 2023 Toyota Highlander Hybrid was named “Best Hybrid SUV for Families.” In determining the top rankings, U.S. News considered things like interior space, easy-to-use tech features, cargo room, and teen driver controls. Safety technology was also a consideration – something that Toyota has long been known for. Both models include automatic emergency braking and a rear cross-traffic alert, for starters. "Our 2023 Best Cars for Families offer the features, safety and space that will appeal to new parents, as well as parents with teen drivers or households that include grandparents,” said Jim Sharifi, managing editor of U.S. News Best Cars. Of course, the Toyota hybrids are also great for families in the sense that they care for the next generation with eco-friendly engineering. They save money on fuel as well – money that can go towards vacations, or other fun things! Peruzzi Toyota of Hatfield is so excited to be included on this prestigious list; it’s further validation of Toyota’s constant drive to create innovations and technology that will make the customer experience better and better. If you’d like a closer look at the 2023 Toyota Camry Hybrid and the T oyota Highlander Hybrid and find out why they were named to U.S. News’ “best” list, we invite you to stop by Peruzzi. What Do All Those Electric Vehicle Terms Mean?

Electric vehicles (EVs) are the fastest-growing segment of the automotive industry – but they’re not all alike. As they evolve, there are different ways of powering them, and those terms can be confusing. Peruzzi Toyota in Hatfield, PA is proud to offer some of the best EVs on the market and is here to break down the differences. Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV): This is probably the most common EV these days, and you can find them in models like the Toyota Sienna. The hybrid runs on an electric propulsion system paired with a typical internal combustion engine. Drivers get better fuel economy than a regular vehicle, and the HEV doesn’t have to be plugged in to recharge. Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV): As its name suggests, this is an EV powered solely by a rechargeable electric battery pack (think of it like a smartphone on wheels). A BEV doesn’t require gas, but like your phone, will need to be plugged in to charge up the battery. Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV): Consider this the best combo of all available technology. The PHEV has a traditional combustion engine, but it also uses a rechargeable battery. Unlike the full hybrid, it can run completely on the electric battery (mainly for shorter distances). You’ll have to both add gas and charge it up to get the most out of a PHEV. Fuel Cell Vehicle or EV (FCV/FCEV): This is the most sophisticated of the EVs, but also the least available right now. The fuel cell is powered by hydrogen fuel and a small battery that then powers the electric motor. FCEVs are more expensive right now due to the cost of the hydrogen fuel, but as time goes on, they’ll likely come down in price. It’s obvious that the future is electric vehicles – and Peruzzi Toyota is staying on top of all the upcoming developments. Got questions? We’re always here to answer them!

Toyotas Make This Top 10 List

Vehicles with all-wheel drive are increasingly popular, primarily because they make everyday driving (not to mention driving in tricky conditions) a lot easier and safer. Simply put, all-wheel drive provides better traction on the road, whether during a morning commute or on a family road trip. Of course, AWD vehicles also feature the latest driving technology, which can make them a bit pricier than their rear-wheel drive counterparts. Not to worry: recently, Autotrader revealed its list of 2023’s Top 10 Most Affordable New Cars with AWD and Toyota was on that list. The criteria were that each car reviewed must have AWD but also fit a budget of $25K or under. Peruzzi Toyota in Hatfield, PA is proud to promote these two winning models that made the prestigious Autotrader list. 2023 Toyota Corolla Hybrid: It was the only hybrid to make the list. The Corolla Hybrid offers reliability, yet with a sporty feel. It has top fuel efficiency of 48 mpg. The best thing about this vehicle is the price, as most hybrid trim models cost far more than this affordable gem. What a great value! 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross: This new edition to the Toyota lineup has quickly become a hot seller. The affordable subcompact SUV offers the AWD you want – but it also offers an efficient 31/33 mpg. With plenty of cargo space and all the technology features you need, it is an excellent choice as an all-wheel crossover. While all-wheel drive has been considered a luxury, Toyota is working to make it affordable for all. The 2023 Corolla Hybrid and the 2023 Corolla Cross are proof that you can enjoy greater driving ease, Toyota’s famed safety standards, and the kind of everyday technology we all need. Swing by Peruzzi Toyota in Hatfield for a closer look at these two exceptional vehicles.

The 2023 Toyota Prius: Why You’ll Love It

For over 20 years, the Toyota Prius has been a favorite for its eco-friendly technology and smart design. Toyota took it up a notch with the Prius Prime plug-in hybrid which has been around for ten years. For 2023, both have gotten a sleek redesign you should know about. Peruzzi Toyota in Hatfield, PA is here to share the cool details. To start, the exterior has been completely redesigned with a lighter, wider frame, and one that rides a bit lower. That offers a fun, sportier look, especially with paint colors including Supersonic Red, Reservoir Blue and Wind Chill Pearl. As far as performance, the 2023 Toyota Prius has a new lithium-ion battery that increases the zero-emission electric range by over 50%. There’s also upgraded fuel efficiency that delivers a 57 combined mpg. For the 2023 Toyota Prius Prime, you’ll get a larger battery that delivers an extended driving range on electric-only. There’s 220 horsepower from the hybrid powertrain, which takes you from 0-60 in under 7 seconds. And one of the coolest new features on the 2023 Toyota Prius Prime is the solar roof which helps charge the battery when the car is parked. Both models of this iconic hybrid feature more cargo space over earlier versions, heated steering wheel and front seats, available digital key, plus available front and rear parking assist with automatic braking. You’ll also enjoy a 12.3” multimedia system with WIFI Connect, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and HD radio. There’s no doubt about it – the 2023 Toyota Prius/Prius Prime, available at Peruzzi Toyota in Hatfield, takes exciting leaps forward from when they first rolled off the assembly lines. Uploading Your Most Current Toyota

It’s a fact that cars are continually evolving. It’s another fact that many car owners aren’t up for trading in their perfectly good Toyota for the latest bells and whistles. Well, Toyota is addressing that with an ambitious new plan. Peruzzi Toyota in Hatfield, PA is excited to share the breaking news! In Japan, it’s being called “The Kinto Factory,” and the idea is to create upgrades that customers can easily install themselves. Drivers will be able to upload software updates for things including safety and driver-assist features like parking and lane-change. They can stay up to date – without having to buy a whole new vehicle. It’s a little like having a phone that updates to the latest version of itself. Of course, bigger items that need replacing are also on the Kinto Factory menu. They’re working on creating seats, steering wheels and other hardware items that can be swapped out by the owner. Toyotas are widely known as among the most reliable vehicles on the road, a quality treasured by practical drivers worldwide. But the automaker also recognizes that the pace of upgrades among competitors puts pressure on drivers to seek out new cars, possibly from other brands. The Kinto Factory is an ingenious way to have the best of both worlds. Owners wanting to take part are charged about $87 to access the program. That number may change as Kinto progresses. Currently, it’s in “test mode” in a few Japanese dealerships and limited to Prius and the Lexus; the idea is to eventually expand to the states and more Toyota models. As with many of their practices, Toyota is making a smart business move for the future. It’s designed to ensure that loyal customers can keep their favorite vehicle and keep it up to date without a lot of fuss as cars continually evolve. Peruzzi Toyota in Hatfield is proud to be part of a company that keeps their customer needs top of mind and does something to address them.

Big News! Toyota Poised to Beat GM In Sales

For decades, GM has reigned over the auto market, dominating in the full-year sales category for the last (wait for it) 90 years. But that may be about to change, as it appears that Toyota is set to take the top spot in yearly sales for 2021. According to third-quarter reports, Toyota has outsold GM – and that trend looks to continue into 2022. Peruzzi Toyota in Hatfield, PA, a proud member of the Toyota family, explains how the company is achieving this landmark. For the third quarter, Toyota is expected to notch 1,857,884 units in the sales column; by comparison, GM sold over 80,000 less. That’s a remarkable achievement and gives Toyota an edge approaching the new sales year. So, what’s to account for the lead? Besides the quality and stylishness of Toyota vehicles, there’s smart planning. The shortage of the microchips that operate nearly everything in today’s vehicles has severely impacted production for many automakers, even while demand for new cars is up. However, Toyota had a taste of “shortages” several years back in the wake of the 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan. That devastating event caused the company to rethink their process. "What we learned from the earthquake is we needed to carry more inventory of slow-moving parts — and chips were one of the commodities we identified early on," Executive Vice President of Sales at Toyota Motor North America Bob Carter told Automotive News. Adding to the sales race between GM and Toyota is that the highly anticipated new edition of the Toyota Tundra will be out shortly. The hot new Tundra will be available at Peruzzi Toyota in Hatfield very soon. But there are so many other sleek, powerful models to browse in our showroom. Whether you need a fun vehicle like the Camry to zip around town in or something sturdier, like the 4-Runner for weekend off-roading, we’ve got you covered!

THE NEW TOYOTA TACOMA: EXCITING CHANGES IN STORE

While its truck lineup is super-popular, Toyota isn’t resting on its laurels. The company is in the process of making some big redesign changes; the Tundra has gotten its makeover for 2022 and the Tacoma is next up. Even though Tacoma outsells other similar mid-size trucks from competitors Ford and Chevrolet, there are some tweaks in store that will take it to the next level. While it won’t make its debut until sometime in 2022, Peruzzi Toyota in Hatfield, PA has a few sneak peeks at what’s coming. The Toyota Tacoma will be built on the new TNGA-F frame, which will make for a more comfortable ride. Additionally, the old rear-leaf suspension is being swapped out for coil springs, which will make handling – especially during any kind of off-roading – even easier. By comparison, Ford and Chevy are still using less-cushy leaf-spring suspension. On the outside, the Tacoma will sport sleeker touches on the grille, headlights and taillights. On the inside, this new version upgrades the technology. For example, expect a larger touchscreen as well as standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. OK, so now Peruzzi Toyota takes you under the hood of the upcoming Toyota Tacoma. There’s a hot rumor that it will utilize a turbo-charged four-cylinder engine that produces a robust 275 horsepower. A hybrid version is also more than likely, and the company states that a fully electric version will also roll out by 2025. Currently, this updated version of the Toyota Tacoma is being tested as a prototype, but it will be out before too long. And the place you can claim this exceptional mid-size truck – or any of the fantastic Toyota lineup, for that matter -- is at Peruzzi Toyota in Hatfield! Come on in to have a closer look.
