New 2018 Toyota Sequoia TRD Sport
A fresh sense of adventure is in the air for one of the most perennially popular 8-seater SUVs on the market, thanks to the new 2018 Toyota Sequoia TRD Sport. Recently debuted at the Chicago Auto Show, the all-new trim level of the Sequoia led it to becoming one of the event’s most talked-about new models.
Fittingly enough, the 2018 Sequoia TRD Sport will be receiving some off-road, “sporty” upgrades. While the current 5.7L i-Force V8 engine will remain with its 381hp and 401 lb-ft of torque, the TRD Sport will receive a set of custom-tuned Bilstein shocks and new TRD front/rear anti-sway bars, which allow large SUVs like the Toyota Sequoia to handle tougher terrain. You’ll notice yourself carving corners with greater precision and enjoying overall enhancement to your handling while you’re out cruising the streets.
Not only will the new Sequoia TRD Sport drive and handle incredibly well, it will also visually stand out on the road thanks to its 20-inch black alloy wheels, smoked tail lamp lenses, bespoke grille and front fascia, gloss-black mirror caps, and distinctive TRD Sport badging. Its exterior finishes include Super White, Magnetic Gray, and all-new Midnight Black.
Inside, the vehicle will include such top features as power front seats and an Entune Premium infotainment system with Integrated Navigation. Also, like most Toyota models, the TRD will include the advanced driver-assistance technologies of Toyota Safety Sense P (TSS-P).
Although the 2018 Toyota Sequoia TRD Sport won’t be available until September 2017, it will surely be worth the wait. Say Hello to the 2018 Toyota C-HR
Everyone knows that April brings in spring showers, but at Peruzzi Toyota, April also brings in brand new cars! The latest model to arrive is the 2018 Toyota C-HR, the new compact crossover designed for the driving minds of driving enthusiasts. The vehicle’s youthful, vibrant design perfectly complements its zesty drive, forward-thinking efficiency scores, and top-tier technology.
Tested at the world-famous Nürburgring track in Germany, the 2018 C-HR has adopted the same platform as the Toyota Prius. The MacPherson strut front and a double wishbone rear suspension provide a firm yet playful ride, while the 2.0L four-cylinder engine will enliven your drive up to 144hp and 139 lb-ft of torque.
The new C-HR will be available in two trim levels: XLE and XLE Premium. Its powertrain upgrades are completed by the long-awaited CVTi-S system, a new generation of Continuously Variable Transmission that enhances the vehicle’s efficiency, while a new belt structure reduces interior noise.
Among the C-HR’s other great features are a 7-inch audio display, dual-zone climate control, and voice recognition. Toyota and Microsoft are no strangers to each other. This past year, they started collaborating on Toyota’s data science center, called Toyota Connected, in order to create individual customer experiences. Now, the pair is coming together again and Microsoft is licensing a large number of its connected car patents to the car company.
These intellectual properties include voice recognition, artificial intelligence and gesture control. Microsoft has previously reached licensing agreements with other automobile manufacturers. For example, they teamed up with Volvo in order to create digital car designs.
Although Toyota has not announced how they will incorporate these new technologies, it’s hard not to speculate. The voice recognition could allow drivers to unlock their car or change the radio station just by speaking. The artificial intelligence could play a part in self-driving vehicles, or perhaps a “Siri” like companion who manages Toyota cars’ entertainment center. And who knows what role gesture recognition will play in future cars. Tokuhisa Nomura, Executive General Manager at Toyota’s R&D section, was quoted at autonews.com as saying, “Through this patent partnership between Toyota and Microsoft, we will be able to innovate faster to deliver new, contextual and immersive experiences to our customers.”
The current partnership between Toyota and Microsoft is not exclusive, however, meaning that you may soon see cars from other brands with these features. This simply means many cars in the future will have voice recognition.
This is mostly long-term, however. In the meantime, if you’re in the market for a Toyota vehicle, look no further than Peruzzi Toyota. With over 200 new and 400 pre-owned vehicles, contact us today and find the vehicle of your dreams.
Your Guide to Vehicle Spring Cleaning
Spring is here, and that means it’s time to clean. Spring cleaning doesn’t just apply to your house. Make sure you spruce up your vehicle so it’s ready for spring. Here are some tips to consider this season:
1. Wash and wax your car
After winter, your vehicle is probably covered in mud, road salt, debris and more. Now is a good time to wash it. After you’re done, be sure to wax it in order to add an extra level of shine and protection to your car. Don’t wait for an April shower, either take your vehicle into a car wash or wash it yourself. This way, you can ensure a quality wash. Don’t forget the wax step!
2. Replace winter tires
If you put winter tires on your vehicle to help you drive in the snow, now’s the time to take them off. Driving with them on during warmer months can actually cause the rubber to melt. Switch them out for all-season tires.
3. Clean the interior
Your car’s seats, trunk and mats probably need a cleaning. A vacuum can get a lot of the dirt and grime out. As for your trunk, get your winter gear out of there and put it in storage. This will free up room for you while also improving your vehicle’s mpg.
4. Get your car serviced
Now’s the time to check your headlights, wiper blades and your car’s alignment. Winter can wear all of these down, so it’s important to ensure that they still work.
And if you’re looking to get your vehicle serviced, come to Peruzzi Toyota. Our service department will give your vehicle a thorough check and have it back in no time. Contact us today to schedule your next service appointment.
The Special Edition Toyota 86
This year, Toyota is releasing an exclusive, limited-edition version of their 86 coupe, a stylish sports vehicle. This 860 special edition will be limited to the production of just a few hundred units produced. While the 86 isn’t getting a complete makeover, there are some new features.
The exterior received a minor redesign. All 860 vehicles will come with a “Supernova Orange” or “Halo White” paint job. A rear spoiler and underbody panel make it a more aerodynamic vehicle. Chrome alloy wheels and fender vents make it a more stylish one. Plus, it also has LED fog lights, for safer driving.
For the interior, this new model incorporates large amounts of leather: heated black leather seats, a steering wheel with leather trimming, leather around the handbrake and more. It also has a button start and dual-zone climate control for maximum comfort. A 4.2-inch touch display is also included and shows a stopwatch, mpg, oil temperature and engine coolant, horsepower, and more.
The 2017 Toyota 86 with an automatic transmission provides 200hp, while the manual version increases that to 205 hp. The manual vehicle also has an EPA estimated MPG of 21 in cities and 28 on highways. Manuals are expected to roughly comprise 60% of those sold.

The Toyota i-TRIL Shows Glimpses of the Future
The Geneva International Motor Show began on March 9th and ran until the 19th. Automakers showed off their new vehicles and new concepts there. What’s the difference between the two? A concept car is more of a “what-if,” like what electric cars will look like in 10 or so years.
Toyota mulled over that question and came up with the i-TRIL, which debuted at the show. It’s designed to show what type of electric vehicles might be on streets in 2030. Its exterior resembles something straight out of science fiction. People can open doors which swing upward to sit in a small pod. While the back wheels are always upright on the ground, much like current vehicles, the front ones are capable of “leaning” 10 degrees so that the vehicle can zip around corners.
The i-TRIL has no pedals. Instead, drivers can use handsets to control the brakes and throttles. The vehicle can also drive itself self-autonomously to get passengers to their destinations, and with a range of 124 miles between electric charges, distance wouldn’t be a problem.
Although many speculate that the i-TRIL won’t actually enter production, it does showcase the types of innovative technology Toyota is working on. Drivers may not see the i-TRIL out on roads in 2030, but other Toyota vehicles incorporating the electric battery, leaning wheel tech or even a pod seating area could be forthcoming.
Toyota is already innovating the auto industry, with hybrids like the Prius, and other vehicles. Check them out at Peruzzi Toyota. With a wide catalog of Toyota cars, you can find the right one for you at an affordable price. Stop in today and find your dream Toyota.

The Differences Between 2017 Corolla Trims
For 50 years, the Corolla has been one of Toyota’s most popular vehicles. To celebrate this landmark, Toyota released nine revised trims along with an anniversary one. Let’s look closer at the similarities and differences between some of these trims.
1. L
The 2017 Corolla base model features bi-LED and Daytime Running headlights, a back-up camera and a hands-free BlueTooth® phone. It also has an EPA estimated mpg of 28 in a city and 36 on a highway.
2. LE
The LE trim builds on the L by either adding to its features. New aspects include heated outside mirrors for those snowy days and climate control with allergen filters.
3. SE
The SE, in turn, adds to the LE model, especially the interior. It has two driving modes: Normal and Sport. It also has its own Premium Package. This consists of a roof-mounted antenna, Smart Key System, Connected Navigation App and more. The EPA estimated mpg is similar but not quite the same as the L, offering 28 mpg in a city and 35 on a highway.
4. 50th Anniversary Special Edition
And for 2017 only, Toyota released a special model for the vehicle’s 50th anniversary. In addition to a few other features, this trim sports special anniversary floor mats and a badge for the outside.
Now for their similarities: all 2017 Corollas have eight airbags and the Toyota Safety Sense™ P Package. Safety features include Automatic High Beams, Standard Lane Departure Assist and Standard Pre-Collision System.

Difference Between the 2016 and 2017 Toyota Camry
The 2018 Toyota Camry recently debuted at the Detroit Auto Show and showed off a large design overhaul. However, its release is still months away. In the meantime, let’s check out the 2017 model and how it differs from the 2016 Camry.
With the upgraded 2018 Camry on the horizon, Toyota engineers and designers didn’t rock the boat too much with the 2017. Most of its interior, exterior and features are the same as the 2016. But there are a few notable additions.
Updates
1. Toyota says that both the XLE and XSE trims now have Entune™ Audio Plus multimedia system with Connected Navigation app for a more relaxing driving experience. This comes at no extra cost to consumers.
2. Plus, the XSE, XLE and XLE hybrid feature QI wireless charging for smartphones. Although iPhones still need to use cords, Android users can now easily charge their phones.
What stayed the same?
1. Just like its predecessor, the 2017 Toyota Camry is an IIHS Top Safety Pick+, scoring high in all crashworthiness categories.
2. The 2017 Camry has the same, or similar, fuel economy to the 2016 model. Both base models have an EPA estimated MPG of 25 in a city and 35 on a highway. The 2017 V6 model, however, has a combined fuel economy of 24 MPG, one mpg less than the 2016 model. But this insignificant decrease is the only change in mileage.
3. Pricing is staying the same, so you can get the new updates for no additional charge.
All in all, the 2017 Camry looks like a winner. Get yours at Peruzzi Toyota! We have an extensive line up of 2017 Camry vehicles in all kinds of trims. Contact us today and become a part of the Toyota family.
What’s the Gas Mileage for New Toyota Prius Models?
When it comes to hybrid vehicles, the Toyota Prius ranks as one of the most iconic. In addition to being a comfortable ride, it boasts an impressive miles per gallon rate, so you can save big on gas. Let’s take a closer look at the estimated MPGs of the latest Prius models and see their benefits.
The latest base model has an EPA estimated 54 mpg in the city and 50 on the highway. And with a 11.3-gallon capacity and a number of safety features (it’s an IIHS Top Safety Pick+), it can safely take you a long way with many refueling stops.
This smaller version of the Prius has an EPA estimated fuel economy of 48 mpg city and 43 mpg highway. To make up for this dip in MPG, the Prius C is less expensive. For example, one of our 2016 Toyota Prius c’s has an MSRP of $21,494, while a 2017 Toyota Prius Four FWD is $30,350.
Combining a station wagon with hybrid technology, the Prius V can get an estimated 43 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway. In total, it has 67 cubic feet for cargo space, giving you the best of both larger vehicles and hybrids.
The 2017 Toyota Prius Prime takes hybrid tech to a new level. With an EPA estimated fuel economy of 55 mpg for cities and 53 mpg for highways, the vehicle offers a whopping range of 640 miles. Plus, it can drive for 25 miles on only an electric charge.
